Tour Highlights

Golden Triangle Tour - Detailed Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Delhi’s international airport, you’ll be greeted with a traditional welcome. After that, you will be escorted to your vehicle and taken to the hotel for check-in and an overnight stay. Take some time off on your first day in India to relax!
In the morning, you’ll start your sightseeing tour of Old Delhi. The city is alive with activity and still retains its Mughal influence from when it was once ruled by them from the Red Fort. You’ll visit Jama Masjid—the largest mosque in India built during the 17th century-before driving past New Delhi to explore Raj Ghat, India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan (Presidential Palace), Parliament House, and other colonial buildings designed by British architect Edwin Lutyens of early 20th-century fame. Finally, take the time to visit Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb. These iconic monuments are a stunning example of Persian-inspired Mughal architecture that will leave you in awe. After a day of exploring, return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Today, you’ll head to Agra and get a glimpse of the Mughals’ golden age through its architecture. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for some rest before we drive over to visit Agra Fort – an incredible blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. The fort was originally built by Rajputs out of red sandstone, bricks, and beautiful marble from Makarana but has been renovated multiple times by different Mughal emperors throughout history. It is truly a walled palatial city that must be seen in person!

After exploring the majestic Agra Fort, you’ll experience the iconic Taj Mahal at sunset. This symbol of eternal love was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal who passed away in the 16th century. The grandeur and beauty of this marvelous monument never fails to impress with its perfect symmetry and white marble decorations.

Spend the evening marveling at the exquisite marble craftsmanship of descendants of Taj artisans, who continue to perfect their trade-in bazaars.

In the morning, you’ll embark on a journey to Jaipur – the vibrant capital of Rajasthan known as the “Pink City“. On your way there, we will make a stop at Fatehpur Sikri – an impressive and well-preserved Mughal royal city that served as Akbar’s political capital for 14 years until it was abandoned in 1585 due to drought.

Jaipur, the first planned city of its time, is a gateway to Rajasthan and one of India’s most important heritage sites. Its imposing forts, dazzling palaces and lush gardens are all filled with historic charm. At the end of our day exploring this magical place, we will visit the colorful evening markets before getting some rest in preparation for another full day sightseeing tomorrow.

After breakfast, we’ll embark on a 7-mile (11 km) journey to the ancient capital of Amer. Here, you can explore the massive Amber Fort Palace Fort which was home to the Kachhawaha dynasty for more than 500 years. Then, we will visit Jal Mahal, a palace in the middle of Man Sagar Lake, and the City Palace complex – an impressive combination of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Next, take a journey to Jantar Mantar, an 18th-century observatory with solar devices that can measure the day’s progression with an accuracy of just two seconds. This astronomical treasure is still able to make accurate predictions today. Afterward, you’ll visit Hawa Mahal (“Palace of the Winds”), a five-story facade constructed from pink sandstone in 1799. Its discreet windows (jharokhas) allowed royal ladies to observe street processions and festivities without being seen by themselves. After a day of exploring, return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
In the morning, you will be transferred back to Delhi for your departure from the International Airport.
